Mr. Joe Arruda, is Vice President of Supply Chain Operations for Clarian Health, the largest health care employer in the State. Supply Chain Operations (SCO) facilitates the purchasing and contracting of products and services for all Clarian Health locations. In order to do this effectively, we must balance clinical needs, risk, clinical acceptability, service levels and price.

Prior to joining Clarian, Joe served as Senior Vice President of HealthSouth.  During this time, one of Joe’s greatest challenges entailed creating the supply chain strategy and services for hundreds of facilities.  By creating and implementing a centralized product procurement database, Joe and his team of professionals were able to evaluate real time data to ensure accurate product pricing, manage supplier backorders, monitor pricing discrepancies, and drive division-wide compliance.

Prior to HealthSouth, he served in various senior management roles, including Vice President of Acute & Network Services at Partners HealthCare in Boston, an integrated health care delivery system that includes Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.  While in this role, he pioneered the development of an integrated service model to include the offsite clinics and surgery centers.

Mr. Arruda graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Assumption College, and has a Master of Business Administration from Northeastern University.
