Mr. Fennessy is currently the Vice President of Operations at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL with over 26 years of administrative experience in Hospital Administration. His current role includes the administration and oversight for supply chain activities, patient support services, diagnostic and therapeutic services including pharmacy, pathology, and occupational and therapeutic services. Over the past four years Mr. Fennessy has led organizational supply chain initiatives that included a hospital-wide rollout of smart pump infusion systems, a reorganization of distribution services for both pharmacy and supply, converted the organizations’ GPO, created an organizational strategy and policy associated with contracting, and supported the development of a physician led Medical Device Committee that approves and evaluates new devices and technology for Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Prior to his current responsibilities, Mr. Fennessy served in the Finance Division of Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Mr. Fennessy received his Bachelor of Science from Western Illinois University (1977) and his Masters of Business Administration from DePaul University (1984). He is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. In addition, Mr. Fennessy serves on numerous not-for profit boards and committees and is the current President of the Morton College Foundation.
