Gary Metcalfe has served as Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Supply Chain Services, LLC (a joint venture of Excela Health and Heritage Valley Health System) since its inception in January 2010 where he is responsible for all aspects of procurement and supply chain management activities for seven acute care hospitals and their affiliates.  Mr. Metcalfe has over 25 years of health care operations and supply chain management experience.

Metcalfe’s career began with Georgia Baptist Health Care System of Atlanta Georgia where he served as Associate Director of Materials Management.  Subsequently, Metcalfe served Excela Health of Greensburg Pennsylvania as Director of Materials Management, Division Manager of Support Services, Vice President of Support Services and Vice President of Supply Chain Management.   

Commencing operations in January 2010, Consolidated Supply Chain Services, LLC is a regional procurement & supply chain management corporation supporting the needs of Excela Health and Heritage Valley Health System both of which are located within the Greater Pittsburgh metropolitan area.  Consolidated Supply Chain Services, LLC also manages affiliate relationships with The Ellwood City Hospital and Adelphoi USA.

Metcalfe earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Robert Morris University and an MBA from Kennesaw State University.  Metcalfe is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and maintains membership in The Institute for Supply Management and the Association for Healthcare Resource and Materials Management.

Gary and his wife Kimberly are the proud parents of Zachary and Meredith Metcalfe.
