Ed Robinson began serving as System Vice President, Supply Chain Services at OhioHealth in January of 2003 and brings over 27 years of experience in a variety of settings and capacities. OhioHealth is an IDN comprised of eight owned, one managed and six affiliated hospitals. In the fiscal year ended 6-30-06, OhioHealth had net patient revenues of $1.84B and system expenditures for drugs, supplies and services of $541 million. Ed is a member of the OhioHealth Executive Core, Central Ohio Operations and IT Governance teams and has leadership accountability for establishing the supply chain as a strategic asset within OhioHealth. In addition to the traditional supply chain functions, Ed also has responsibility for Accounts Payable, Clinical Engineering and Imaging Engineering.
Prior to joining OhioHealth, Ed worked for VHA/Novation for four years where his responsibilities included offering customized supply chain solutions for several of the large alliance members in the Member Partnership Program. Prior to VHA, Ed led supply chain operations at Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles and also served as the System Director of Materials Management at the Samaritan Health System in Phoenix, Arizona (now part of Banner Health).
Ed has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition throughout his career including being named to the 2006 “Ten People to Watch” list of the Journal of Healthcare Contracting and two VHA Leadership Awards in Improving Supply Chain Management.
Ed received his bachelors of general business administration degree from the University of Arizona and his masters of business administration from the University of Phoenix, in Phoenix, Arizona.
