James Van Drasek, C.P.M., is a graduate of the University of Minnesota; He is trained in Six Sigma and Lean Flow methodologies. Mr. Van Drasek is currently the System Director of Materials Management for HealthEast Care Systems, St. Paul Minnesota. Mr. Van Drasek is responsible for Purchasing, Inventory Management, Sterile Processing, Legal Services, Bio Medical, Mail & Copy Center operations, and system-wide non-salary expense reduction efforts (i.e. Value Analysis Program). He has over 27 years of experience in health care materials management and is a past Chair of Novation’s National Materials Management Council and National Information Leadership Council. Mr. Van Drasek authored HealthEast's winning application for the 1999 VHA Leadership Award for Improving Supply Chain Management in the System division and is a current member of Novation's Strategic Information Advisory Group.
HealthEast Care System is located in St. Paul, Minnesota and provides various primary, acute, tertiary and chronic health care services to the area. HealthEast are System includes four hospitals, two outpatient surgery centers, a diagnostic imaging center, Transportation Company, retail pharmacy operations, home care company, and multiple physician clinics.
